Rockets 4-3 in Pre-Season |

After a 15 point loss to the Pacers on Friday, the Rocket’s were out to prove a point against the Thunder on Monday 19th October. Playing in front of a home crowd of almost 12,000,at the Toyota Center in Texas the Rockets were up by 1 point at half time against the Oklahoma Thunder. The Rockets then pulled away in the second half to win by 20, 105-85. Dave played 22.48 minutes of the game, scoring 8 points (2-9, 1-2 3PTS, 3-4FTS) and pulling in 4 rebounds (1 OFF 3 DEF). The Rockets play their final pre-season game this Friday at home against the Dallas Mavericks before they start the 2009-2010 season. The Rockets tip off the NBA season with 2 away games, the 1st is on Tuesday 27th October against the Portland Trail Blazers and then Wednesday 28th October against the Golden State Warriors. The Rockets finish the finish the first week of the new season with a home game on Saturday the 31st October playing the Trail Blazers again. |

The Houston Rockets played their first home game of the pre-season at the Toyota Center today (Monday evening Houston time), against the Milwaukee Bucks. In a game that had an Aussie on each team, Andrew Bogut for the Bucks and Dave for Houston, the Bucks came away eventual winners after the Rockets clawed back from a 13 point deficit at half time to be down by 4 points at the final buzzer. Dave top scored for the Rockets with 17 points (5-9 and 7-8 FT), grabbed 4 defensive rebounds and played 25.36 minutes. The Rockets play against the Toronto Raptors on the 15th of October in game 5 of the pre-season. |

| The Houston Rockets go 3-2 in the pre-season after a win over the Raptors on Thursday 15th October. Houston was down by 1 point at half time but came back to win 124-112. Dave played 22.29 minutes, scored 8 points (3-7 an 2-3 FT) and grabbed 4 defensive rebounds in a game which saw him as the Rockets starting centre again. The Rocket’s take on the Pacers on Friday the 16th October. |

Dave Andersen was starting centre for the Rockets in their third pre-season game today (Friday night USA time). In front of 16,344 people at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Dave scored 12 points (5-9 and 2-4 free throws), 7 rebounds (1 offensive and 6 defensive) and blocked a shot from Carter in the 28.12 minutes he was on the court. Houston went down to Orlando by 9 points, with the final score line Houston 104 to Orlando’s 113. Houston will now take on the Milwaukee Bucks on the 12th October, Toronto raptors on the 15th October and Indiana Pacers on the 16th October in more pre-season games. |
