Dave’s Double-Double

Montepaschi Siena played Vanoli-Braga Cremona on Sunday November 27 in Cremona for the eighth game of the A Series Lega Basket Championship.  Montepaschi held the lead at every change to win 102-66.  Dave had a massive game for Montepaschi playing 26 minutes, scoring 19 points grabbing 10 rebounds (three offensive and seven defensive) with three assists, seeing him get his first double-double for the season.  Top scorer for Montepaschio was Dave with 19 points, followed by Bo McCalebb  with 13 points.  Montepaschi  host Bennet Cantu on Sunday December 4 in game 9 or the A Series Championship.

 
Montepaschi Host Unics Kazan

In game six of the Euroleague regular season, Montepaschi Siena hosted Unics Kazan at PalaEstra on Wednesday November 23.  In a tight fought game, which saw both teams even at half time (41-41), Unics Kazan managed to take the lead in the final quarter to win the game 79-73.  Dave played 18:53 minutes and scored six points while grabbing one offensive and two defensive rebounds for Montepaschi.  Bo McCalebb top score for the home team with 22 points.  Even after the loss, Montepaschi still holds second place ahead of Unics Kazan in Group D of the Euroleague.  Montepaschi will travel to Slovenia for their next Euroleague game to play 5th placed Union Olimpija on Thursday December 1.

 
Montepaschi Defeat Asseco Prokom

Montepaschi Siena hosted Asseco Prokom on Thursday November 17 at PalaEstra.  Afte a tight first half, Montepaschi went into the main break with a one point lead.   A 33-20 point third quarter from the home team sealed the win, 84-73.  Dave played 31:02 minutes, scoring 10 points and grabbing two offensive and seven defensive rebounds to be the highest rebounder for Montepaschi.  Rimantas Kaukenas top scored for the home team with 15 points.  Montepaschi Siena now sit at second place in the Euroleague Group D pool, with the next Euroleague game being played at PalaEstra against Unics Kazan.

 
Montepaschi Beats Cumberio Varese

Montepaschi Siena hosted Cumberio Varese on Sunday November 20 in game seven of the A Series Championship.  After holding the lead by one point at the end of the first quarter and then seven points at half time, Montepaschi came away with a five point win 79-74.  Dave played 20 minutes, scoring 12 points, one offensive and four defensive rebounds and two assists.  Pietro Aradori top scored for Montepaschi with 14 points.  Montepaschi will now host Unics Kazan on Wednesday November 23 in game six of the Euroleague before playing Vanoli-Braga Cremona on Sunday November 27.  Montepaschi now sits at third on the Legabasket ladder, behind Bennet Cantu and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.

 
Tight Fought Battle Sees Milan on Top

A tight fought game between Montepaschi Siena and EA7 Emporio Armani Milano in Milan saw the home team walk away with the win and top of the Lega table.  Siena trailed by one point at quarter time, two points at half time, four points at the end of the third with Milan winning the game 63-56.  Dave played 24 minutes, scoring 13 points and grabbing one offensive and four defensive rebounds.  Bo McCalebb top scored with 16 points with Dave not far behind with 13 to be the second highest scorer for Montepaschi.  Montepaschi now sits third on the A Series Championship Lega Basket table with Bennet Cantu at second and Emporio Armani Milano two points clear at the top.  Montepaschi Siena host Asseco Prokom on Thursday November 17 at PalaEstra in the fifth Euroleague game of the season and will then host Cumberio Varese on Sunday November 20 in the A Series Championship.
